Say Thank You
I’m going to go way off topic this post because the subject is an appeal to any readers out there to say “thank you” to the men and women serving our country in the armed forces. Now it doesn’t matter how you feel about our present military intervention in Afghanistan or Iraq. The people who have sacrificed a normal life to serve their country deserve a pat on the back and warm fuzzies. [If you must be angry about the situation be angry with politicians whether it be American leaders or terrorist leaders not the men and women serving. Personally I opt for being mad at the anti-democracy sector.] Anyway, Xerox has graciously put up a Web site called Let’s Say Thanks. This site allows you to send a free printed postcard to American armed forces personnel stationed overseas so these people will know we appreciate them. The postcard designs you can choose from are quite delightful, as children have made them. Do it!
Remember, it is better to have entered a model contest and lost than to have collected stamps.
